How does it work?
- Pick a shortcut (1 to 6, 1 to 10…) or type your own bounds, even negative ones.
- Press “Draw” or the space bar: the digits roll, then stop on the result.
- Need several numbers? Open the settings: up to 100 at once, with no repeats and sorted if you like, then “Copy the result”.
What is it for?
- Replace a lost die: 1 to 6, or 1 to 20 for role-playing games.
- For games: “guess the number I’m thinking of”, homemade bingo, random dares.
- Draw the winning raffle tickets, with no repeats.
- In class: pick a student by number, or set the order of presentations.
Frequently asked questions
Is the number really random?
Yes. It is drawn by your browser’s random generator, built for cryptography, and every number between the bounds has exactly the same chance of coming up. The rolling digits are just for show: the result is chosen first.
What does “no repeats” mean?
Each number comes up at most once in the same draw, like balls you don’t put back in the bag: handy for a raffle or student numbers. Untick the box to allow repeats, as with several dice.
Can I draw negative or very large numbers?
Yes: bounds go from −1,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000, both included. If you type them the wrong way round, the banana puts them back in order.
How many numbers can I draw at once?
Up to 100. With no repeats, no more than there are numbers between the bounds: between 1 and 6, the banana gives you 6, not one more.
Are my draws sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser: your bounds and settings stay there for next time, and the last draws are erased when you close the page.
